Meerufenfushi Island Resort, known as Meeru by friends is a large island by local standards, occupies a site on a 70 acre island on the northeast tip of North Male Atoll. It is accessible by speedboat and the journey from the airport takes approximately 50 minutes. Much of the island remains untouched, with its natural vegetation intact. The island is surrounded by soft, white sandy beaches and is home to a great house reef with diving nearby.

All 266 rooms are tastefully decorated and modernly equipped. There are five different room types available, some with sundeck and steps leading to the lagoon and others that are accessible by boat only for total seclusion. Meeru is perfect for lazing on the beach, but there is also a wide range of both land and water sports for you to take part in until the sun goes down. In the evening, don't worry about dressing up as the restaurants are casual and relaxed, and good food is the order of the day. There are five bars in the resort including the new over-the-water Asian Wok Bar.

- Breakfast, lunch and dinner served in the Farivalhu Restaurant for guests staying in Standard Rooms and Land Villas; and in the Maalan Restaurant for guests staying in the 'Meeru Village', featuring "all you can eat" buffets with a variety of menus to please everyone's taste.
- Afternoon tea from 15:00 to 18:00 in the Hungaanu Coffee Shop for guests staying in the Southern End of the island; and Uthuru Bar for guests staying in the Northern End of the island.
- Unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as follows: Bottled water - non-carbonated, soft drinks and canned fruit juices, coffee and tea, both hot and iced, draught beer house wine and house brand spirits.
- One night fishing excursion, regularly scheduled.

Transfer Times
Your speedboat transfer from Hulhule International Airport is a scenic, 55 minutes ride to this Eastern most resort island in the North Male' Atoll. Seaplane transfers are also available


 
Building Work
A new swimming pool is being built next to the Pavillion Bar, only hand tools are being used and the area has been screened off from view.

Work is due to be completed on the 31st July 2009.
