Situated in the centre of North Male Atoll, Thulhagiri Island Resort is only a 25 minute journey by speedboat to Male International Airport. Thulhaagiri means 'Lover's Paradise', surrounded by a turquoise lagoon and powder white beaches with tall shady palm trees, its the perfect holiday destination.

The resort has 52 Beach Bungalows and 17 Water Bungalows which are spacious, comfortable and modernly equipped, Water Bungalows feature a glass bottom table and deck with sunloungers. Bathe in the crystal clear waters and soak up the sun, or for those who enjoy a bit more activity choose form a range of both land and water sports. Enjoy excursions such as Night Fishing trips and Island Hopping. There is a buffet restaurant and bar, which serves local and international food and drinks and there is a weekly disco with a live band, as well as Magic Shows and Crab Races.

Thulhagiri Island Resort is only 25 minutes from Male' International Airport by speed boat.


Building Work

Thulagiri Island Resort is planning to build 17 additional water bungalows beside the existing water bungalows. Work will commence on 1st Sep 2008. 100% of the jetty foundation work is completed. Construction of the Water Bungalows is to start shortly and it is planned work is mainly carpentry to be carried out will from a barge in the lagoon. Currently the extension of the one section of the restaurant deck and re-roofing of one section of the restaurant is to be completed by 24 Dec. There will be no disturbance to the clients as there are no land rooms located near the construction area. A couple of Water bungalows nearest to the working area will be closed and will be not used in construction period. Some Water bungalows will have view of the construction. The resort have currently estimated a completion date of 28th February 2009.
